About Open Source Plan

Frankly speaking, LoongTeX has deeply benefited from the achievements of the open source community from the very beginning—from the underlying technical framework to the toolchain building the entire product, open source is present almost everywhere. Therefore, giving back to open source is not a question of "whether to do it" for us, but "when to do it."

Currently, we are not fully prepared. On one hand, the project is still rapidly evolving, with complex internal structures and frequent changes, and hastily open-sourcing might instead lead to misunderstandings or troubles; on the other hand, we also hope to polish a clearer, more stable, and more worthy version to be referenced before truly opening up.

So we are not rushing, not evading, but also never forgetting our roots. When the time is ripe, we will contribute the parts of LoongTeX worthy of open source with sufficient sincerity—just as we benefited initially, to give back to this great community.
